Welcome to Soul Picnic Productions—Where Soul meets the Stage. We are a nostalgia-based production company with roots in both Nashville & NYC, bringing new life to classic, groundbreaking hits. Soul Picnic Productions begins at the beginning, where the female singer-songwriter began to find their voice in an otherwise male dominated industry. As they emerged as chart topping hit makers, little did they know they would transform an industry and generations to come.

Soul Picnic Productions brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate & reimagine—some of the greatest music in American music history. We sing the best of the best, while working with the best of the best.

With tight harmonies, storytelling, and dynamic arrangements, Soul Picnic Productions takes audiences on a journey from the 50’s, 60’s and beyond, spotlighting award-winning artists in our full-length shows.

BACK TO THE GARDEN: The songs of Carol King, Joni Mitchell, and Laura Nyro

Soul Picnic Productions folk-rock trailblazers Joni Mitchell, Carole King, and Laura Nyro in BACK TO THE GARDEN. Challenged by the traditional images of women in the music industry, they bravely explored territory outside the accepted confines of popular music. These prolific singer-songwriters paved the way for women in music, art and life. With chart-topping hits, thrilling vocals, dynamic arrangements, storytelling, and more, we pay tribute to these women, their influence and inspiration.

Ask many fans for their favorites and you are bound to hear some hear familiar names: Johnny, George, Willie, and Hank. However, the 1950’s, 60’s, & 70’s also bred a crop of fiery, hard-living women who could down a shot of whiskey, bounce a baby on their arm, and write a killer song. While singing songs about life’s heartache is not exclusive to one gender, the gals of classic country music set the bar as high as their hair. From the Smokey Mountains to the Kentucky coalmines, these ground-breaking artists made their way to Nashville to sing their truth with haunting sincerity…and sometimes stirring up a little controversy along the way. They would break down walls and top the charts, becoming some of the most important artists in American music history. NASHVILLE GAL showcases the lives and music of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and Dolly Parton. You’ll hear classic hits like “Walkin After Midnight,” “Stand By Your Man”, "Coal Miner’s Daughter”, “Jolene” and more...as well as tales of how they were crowned the Queens of Country Music.

From the Greenwich Village folk scene to the psychedelic height of Haight-Ashbury, Joan Baez, Janis Joplin, Melanie, and Grace Slick sang songs of love, heartache, and social injustice. It seems almost pre-destined that these women would come together on a dairy farm in upstate New York for “three days of peace and music” and transform a generation. August 1969: A Tribute to the Women of Woodstock celebrates these four women who remain symbols of the legendary festival, leaving an indelible and provocative mark on popular music, American culture, and the world.

MIND THE GAP highlights British soul singers: Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Amy Winehouse, and Adele. Dominating the U.S. and UK charts since the 1960’s, these soul sisters have a catalogue of music filled with timeless soul.

MIND THE GAP features dynamic vocals, custom arrangements, and an unparalleled horn section. Join us as we celebrate the legacy of  "Blue-eyed Soul", the nostalgia, and the indelible mark they have made in the music world.
